Texas isn’t even a dry heat either. Screw that.

No, it’s not. I ride my bike in the mornings, when it’s only 80. But the humidity is 200%. It does get drier as the day wears on, though. So when it’s 98 at 8:30 it’s almost pleasant. I’m supposed to play an outdoor concert tomorrow at 7:30. It might still be 100 degrees. I think the contract says that we don’t have to play if it’s over 95. It will be.

It’s not as bad as you go north. It’s plains weather up here. Houston is a swamp though.

It will be a few degrees cooler up there. Enjoy it.

Just checked my weather app again. 100 and 101. I might have to pack a parka...

Yeah, it’s so big it varies - El Paso seemed fairly dry when I was there.
But I do recall working with a sales guy out of Dallas - he would tell me it was 100 degrees at 10 pm sometimes.
Houston is miserable imho though.

Yeah , El Paso will be totally different.
And yes, it can be 100 after sundown here.

It will be -10 deg F in January and I will have had the Datsun in storage for 3 months by then.

100 at night seems crazy to me. But then again, our winter temps seem crazy to any Texan. It’s always something...

No, though we’ve gotten off light so far this summer. I don’t recall a day over 95, and we’ve been hovering around 85-92 for about a month, with an occasional dip into the upper 70s. It’s been nice.
